This week we had the pleasure of speaking to Limonade in Copenhagen; an independent children’s store which is located in the beautiful Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen. They stock Falcon and many other design-led brands, with a focus on aesthetic and function.

Read on for design inspiration, ideas for using your Falcon with the entire family and tips on ‘must-see’ places to eat, drink and source ingredients in Copenhagen.

How would you best describe the concept of the store?

We sell classic children’s clothes, shoes and accessories in simple design and high quality. We always strive to have a selection of aesthetic and functional design from all over the world.

Our socks are our pride. Limonade launched its first collection of eco-tex certified cotton and wool socks in 2011, consisting of ankle and knee socks and tights and leggings in unique colours to suit both children and adults.

What do you think makes a good product/ design?

We believe that a good product depends on its functionality and appearance and that it should potentially contribute to a greater enjoyment of everyday life. Falcon is an excellent example on this.

Is there a specific dish that you would make using any of our Falcon products?

When baking madeleines, we love serving them in the Falcon serving tray. They somehow highlights each other’s beautiful simplicity.

Can you describe or give tips on the best places to eat, drink, source ingredients in your local area?

Some of our favourite places to eat and drink are in Værnedamsvej, a small street located not far from the Limonade shop. The atmosphere is very Parisian and it’s always buzzing with life.

When shopping for a home cooked dinner, we usually go to Torvehallerne which is one of the best places to get fresh organic ingredients.
