FURNITURE AND FALCON
Can you tell us a bit about you and your studio?
I started the business around 10 years ago, we design and create furniture and interiors, and have just moved into a new studio home in London Fields, which features our studio, workshop and our debut showroom.
What would you say is the biggest inspiration for your work?
Nature! Having grown up in the countryside it's something I always come back to, for me the natural curves of hills or pebbles have a deep sense of calming.
You use Falcon enamelware in and around the studio. What’s your favourite product and what do you use it for?
We love the tea mugs, they’re perfect in the workshop as they dont break if they accidentally get knocked off the workbench.
What are you most looking forward to doing in your new studio?
It would have to be welcoming people into the space, we’ve never had a showroom before where we can display our furniture, from tables and chairs to sofas and side tables, as well as having potential clients over to sit and design their shops, homes or bespoke furniture together, it's great just to sit in the space with no computers, just pen and paper surround by reference books!
Do you have a personal, favourite piece of furniture?
Ever!? Hard to say as it changes everyday, currently I’d love a Valentine Schlegel Fireplace!
Are there any local companies you'd like to shoutabout? Where do you usually source ingredients in your local area?
So many, we’re spoilt for choice in Hackney! For ingredients we love the Newington Green Fruit and Veg, Fin and Flounder, Wilton Way Deli and Pophams for Bread.
The Showroom is Open by Appointment Monday to Thursday,
Opening Hours Friday to Saturday 11 - 4 pm
