FALCON IN LOS ANGELES

Annie Campbell is a full-service catering and event production company based in Los Angeles, known for their signature warmth and unparalleled attention to detail; they excel in creating endless memorable occasions. We recently spoke with the team to discuss their events, top tips and favorite items for laying the table with Falcon.

How did you come to work in catering and events?

I grew up in a home where people gathered so throwing parties was embedded in me. I am happiest when I am entertaining. I became a personal chef 15 years ago and my husband Greg would help me. As our client started hosting larger and larger events, we eventually grew a team. I then started a blog and it was a steady and organic growth into what we are today, entirely through word of mouth!

What are your top tips for entertaining this Spring?

I love Spring entertaining! I like to have potted herbs and flowers on hand and use them as centerpieces instead of floral arrangements. Mixing unexpected colors together is also fun for Spring. For example, hot pink taper candles from Nickey Kehoe with a bright green linen from Heather Taylor Home really creates a moment. Another tip is to design a menu that can be served room temperature so all of your prep can be done ahead of time and definitely pre batch cocktails for easy entertaining!

Do you have a favorite Falcon product that you're currently using, and why?

I love to use the 2 pint jugs and utensil pot as vases and the 3 pint jug for pre batch cocktails along with the tumblers, which also is great for a kids table!

There are so many great colors but my favorites are spring green and mustard yellow.

What do you enjoy most about working in the world of events in LA?

LA is an amazing city to work and live in! There are so many incredible vendors that we collaborate with. For florals we really love working with Megan Gray from Honey & Poppies & HollyFlora. From entertainers to specialty rentals, there is an abundance of creativity in Los Angeles.

LA also has such an inspiring food scene with so many different cuisines that inspire our menus. It's hard to beat year-round alfresco dining!

Are there any other local companies you'd like to shoutabout?

A handful I can’t help to mention…

Festif Society / IG: @amarofestif - Amazing amaro company

Loop Canvas - Modern needlepoint kits, super fun

Heather Taylor Home - Favorite linens & home accessories

Where do you usually eat, drink, and source ingredients in your local area?

We source our produce from the Hollywood and Santa Monica farmers market.

My current obsession is Holbox - love the vibe here and the ceviche is to die for!

Saffy's is a great spot if you are looking for Middle Eastern dishes.

Loreto is great for sitting at the bar with perfect cocktails plus amazing Mexican seafood. Greg and I have a standing date night on Thursdays where we try new restaurants, it’s my favorite thing!
